I received the pamphlet, AIDS Conspiracy? Tracking the Real Genocide! I think it was very good information, and the point (tracking the Real Genocide) can be applied in numerous other situations where brothers tend to get caught up in "conspiracy theories" as a diversion away from the work to fight things that are immediately threatening us!
I had previously read the theories put forth by different people, including "Who Murdered Africa". Your pamphlet puts forth clear and simple common sense and logic, as well as documentation that any bro or sis should be able to see... Information is important and it must be passed on truthfully without rhetoric. When I was in S.C.I. Pgh. a sister a sister lectured on A/iDS, and she also said that she did not think "AIDS was something invented to wipe out blacks" (in a laboratory)
The truth is the genocide of blacks, Hispanics, Indians and poor white folks has never stopped, and they don't need to "conspire". It is a regular feature in every aspect of society (mind control, economics, prisons, brutality etc. etc.) and poverty and ignorance are going hand in hand w/AIDS in an effort to kill off millions of people (mainly people of color). The racist monetary policies of america and other countries keep so-called third world countries under-developed and without adequate health and prevention facilities, as you pointed out (see Africa: AIDS, famine, disease, resulting from colonialism and then neglect ).
Again I commend you for your work -- long overdue -- in providing me (and I'm sure many others) with a detailed document (with footnotes). I will continue to do research and read some of the references you mention that I haven't read yet. Of course my mind will always remain open, but right now your analysis and information is the most plausible that I've seen thus far. Some things in this system don't change. It's the same ole' poverty, neglect and oppression. We don't need to look elsewhere. There's much educating to be done on this and many other issues. On the Move,

Comrade, after a review of the "AIDS conspiracy" pamphlet by David Gilbert, and particularly the 2nd half, i find the pamphlet to be very impressive and enlightening, i.e. the "quick bleach method for sterilizing needles and syringes" being ineffective, the "Real Genocide" (preventable deaths) in progress, and fighting the Power, the Plague, along with additional info that was unbeknown to me.
However, what i found most accurate to the particular situation here at this neo-kkkoncentration kamp, was "that New Afrikans who believed in the conspiracy theories are significantly less likely to use condoms or to get tested for HIV" (page 4).
This in turn continues the spread of AIDS at a rate i believe to be much more higher and severe than among IDUs. So in other words, i personally can see how the conspiracy theory is hindering the seizing of this disease.
However, through on page 13 he asserts, "that those conspiracy theories are serving as a Red Herring that can divert people from tracking down and stepping to the Real Genocide." Now, i don't particularly agree with this conclusion. His analysis of the Real Genocide is Right & exact, however until we can detect the origins of AIDS or conclusively determine the actual cause of the increased spread amongst the minority (New Afrikans) on this continent, i can't actually say or see that the "conspiracy theories are serving as a Red Herring that can divert the people..." Due to the fact that from a Revolutionary stand point, i know & firmly believe that if the AIDS epidemic or increased spread (particularly among New Afrikans) is ever concretely exposed that it is pushed by this neo-kkkolonial government, it will serve as a good situation to bring more New Afrikans to separate from this neo-kkkolonial government and support our independence movement. i know i have not had much studying on AIDS and the theories on it, but i believe this to be as good of an evaluation as i can make at this time without being redundant and superfluous.Rebuild!

David Gilbert's A.I.D.S. Conspiracy? Tracking the Real Genocide is a strong contribution to our knowledge about how to fight the Plague. At first, like so many of us, i thought this horrifying epidemic just had to be some biological warfare experiment run loose. The often-quoted "evidence" in the writings of Dr. William Campbell Douglass, M.D., helped convince me. So it was a real eye-opener for me to learn from David Gilbert's paper that this Dr. Douglass wasn't a Black nationalist, as i'd assumed, but a white Right-wing racist whose "evidence" is all fake.
To me, David Gilbert's paper is fascinating and necessary reading, but there is one side of it that i think we need to discuss more. Yes, i think his sources are right in this case. But when some scientist assures us that blah de blah is true -- "Just take my word for it" -- don't we all start looking for the fire escape? It's not a problem that they have sophisticated knowledge and we may not. Maybe it's precisely because the oppressed do not yet have functioning liberated sciences of our own that we have to tenaciously resist being trusting or dependent on capitalist science? i don't have a good answer for all this, but i think we have to start discussing it.Rebuild!

You Should Read This.
AIDS Conspiracy? Tracking the Real Genocide by David Gilbert should be read by everyone who calls themselves revolutionary in particular and concerned people in general. This paper to the best of my knowledge is the first to address why the strategies of the national health organizations and private groups have failed to impact on the spread of AIDS in minority communities, especially the Black community.
David Gilbert takes us step by step to debunk false theories on the origin of AIDS. From reputable scientists we are told why these theories are invalid. But to just show that people have whack thoughts is like an insult, so David gives us very concrete reasons why Black people in particular hold such views. In an age where government experiments are being exposed as well as apologized for, it is easy to believe that this government or any colonial government is capable of the worst of crimes.
That some white people find the theories hard to believe is due to their inability to acknowledge their history. This, then, is the problem, and David does a good job in attempting to resolve it. But he goes further than just attempting to resolve a contradiction. He points us to the real genocide: disinformation and misinformation. By ignoring facts on behavior, people have left themselves open to infection - and thus in a position to infect others. The AIDS orphans of Africa bear witness to this. Ignorance is the root of all misfortune, and those who put forth these false conspiracy theories are aiding and abetting the racists who would see us destroyed.Albert Nuh Washington
Black Liberation Army/Black Panther Party Political Prisoner(Due to the efforts of David Gilbert, Nuh was in the first group of New York State prisoners to be trained as peer counselors to teach other prisoners about AIDS. That first group had access to an office, but the State bowed to other pressures and closed it down.)
